This hair removal technology is based on the selective dynamics of light and heat. The laser passes through the skin surface to reach the root of the hair follicle; the light can be absorbed and converted into heat-damaged hair follicle tissue, allowing the hair to be removed naturally without damaging the surrounding tissue.
The diode laser equipment uses 808nm, which is particularly effective for the melanocytes in the hair follicle without damaging the surrounding tissue. The laser light can be absorbed by the hair shaft and hair follicles into the melanin and converted into heat, thus increasing the temperature of the hair follicle.
