Utilizing AKM’s new flagship DAC duo, AK4191EQ+dual AK4499EX, in current output mode with complete separation of digital conversion and analog rendering.

All-In Audio Architecture

All-In Audio Architecture equips the 8 DAC output rails of the AK4499EX each with their own I/V conversion, fully unleashing their potential.

The dual AK4499EX are each set to dual mono output, and all rails of both DACs contribute fully to both balanced and single-ended operation.

Such strategic enhancements to the AK4499EX’s operation in conjunction with ultra-hard output stage circuit design powers yield sound quality worthy of a new flagship.

4-section independent power supply design

Power supply section is designed by our engineer of over 30 years’ experience in power supply circuit design. Based on numerous sets of high flux, ultra-low internal resistance, fully shielded high power inductors, power supplies are made independently for digital, decoding, preamp and output stages, for pure, uninterrupted power without interference.

Class A/AB dual amplification circuits, freely switchable

Dual independent amplification circuit design, freely switchable on the fly via touchscreen. Well regarded Class A amplifier driven by 2 OPA1652 and 8 NXP bipolar transistors for zero crossover distortion and fast transient response.

Turn on Class A amplification to unlock stronger drive control at the same time as enhancing power and density of the sound, handling full-size headphones and complex loads such as multi-hybrid IEMs with aplomb.

Class AB amplification mode yields longer play time, lower heat emissions, and is perfectly sufficient for most IEMs on the market.

NDK femtosecond precision crystal oscillators

45.1584MHz and 49.152MHz femtosecond precision crystal oscillators onboard.

For ultra-low phase noise and jitter for precision digital signals to be converted to exquisite analog details. You will feel the clarity and 3-dimensionality of every note even in highly dynamic, busy passages.

Faithful reproduction

With vanishingly low distortion and colouration, every note is resolved accurately and dynamics are rendered in full.

Whether piano notes that resonate in the heart as well as the room, violin notes crisp and clear, every breath of the player clearly heard through a flute, or any other instruments, you will never miss a single detail on the R6 pro II. You will hear every finger movement on strings, on keys, air vibrations inside every instrument as clearly as if seen with your eyes in closeup.

Industry-leading DSD1024 and PCM 1536kHz / 32bits native decoding

DSD1024 is one of the highest-spec formats currently on the market at the moment, encoding audio signals at many-fold higher bitrate than CD quality, and frankly ridiculous sample rate. The highly resolving bit depth and high sample rate of PCM1536kHz / 32bit also ensures more faithful capture than CD quality in all dimensions. In either case the result is more realistic and natural sounds.

MQA 16x unfolding

16x unfold of MQA files, giving master-tape quality audio re-constitution, richer replay of the sound as intended—it’s a take-you-to-the-concert / studio experience!
